125. Using removeSelection command to deselect selected items from the multi-selection box

We have to use Selenium RC command removeSelection  to deselect the selected list option in Multi-selection box field.

Test Description:

So we have to find the css path for locating the multi-selection box field and also we have to provide the label to be deselected in the Selenium RC command removeSelection as shown below:

selenium.removeSelection("css path for locating multi-selection box field","label=label to be deselected");

Lets Implement the Test on Eclipse IDE:

Pre-requisites:

1. Create a new Project say 'RC-Project41' in Eclipse IDE
2. Configure the Project to work with Selenium RC
3. Configure the Selenium Standalone Server to run from Eclipse IDE
4. Create a package say 'package41' under the newly created project.
5. Create a Java Class file say 'Class41' under the newly created package as shown below:

Actual Steps:

1. Write the following code into the newly created Java Class file as shown below and make sure that you resolve all the errors before going to next step:

2. Write the test method 'deselectListItemFromMultiSelectBoxField()' which uses CSS Path Statement for locating the multi-select box field  as shown below:

3. Start the Selenium Standalone Server
4. Save and Run the 'Class41.java' file by selecting the 'JUnit Test' option and ensure that our Automation Test has deselected the list option with label  'Selection Item 4'  from the multi-select box field as shown in the below video:
